Hi,
I am a new member of actKM, and work for an organisation called the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA), in a knowledge management role, aiming to embed KM practices throughout the Agency initially, and subsequently spread this throughout the UK public sector.
I have been looking for case study-type examples of Communities of Practice in action in the public sector for while now, but can't seem to find anything, or any ideas of who might be starting a CoP. Names of authorities I have heard mentioned as doing well are Birmingham CC, Newham, Rotherham, Lewisham, and the Merseyside Police, but still haven't got any closer to finding any information on these.
However, even being pointed to ones that do exist, or any documentation about any successes, or disasters (in short, positive or negative examples) would be a big help. If anyone knows of anything going on in this sphere, I would be VERY grateful...
Thanks in advance,
Tim
