Well the Bulletin Board is open for business so feel free to start a new topic after you have registered and start a discussion.

Moderation well there will be a few who will have moderator access and will keep an eye on things Myself included for a while but others will take over the roll as you become familiar with the way this Bulletin Board works. If you have a question just ask.

If you are wondering what this Bulletin Board is for, why it is here and all that you have come to the right place.

This Bulletin Board is another area for discussion, it is not meant to replace the discussion list that has also been setup. The Discussion list is a similar function to the previous list that was running on Yahoo until it was deleted without notice and should still be used for general notifications.

This Bulletin Board is a separate application that can be used for specific topics that not everyone wants or needs to particpate in, such as the KM Certification debate last year.

If you do want to start a discussion on this Bulletin Board then once you have started your topic let everyone know about it using the discussion list and invite them to participate.

I will get Mark to chime in as well and post his thoughts here.

Just to amplify Ron's introduction...

The main difference between the actKM Bulletin Board (where you are now) and the Discussion List is that messages posted here will only be distributed to members who have subscribed to this topic, in this case the topic is 'Questions - What do I do?'.  Messages posted to the Discussion List go to all actKM members.

We expect that the majority of messages will be posted to the Discussion List.  We can then decide which threads should be pursued in the Bulletin Board by a subset of the actKM members

Dear moderators,

just wanted to take the time to say thanks on behalf of other ACTKM community members for your efforts in setting up the new home of ACTKM- feels more like home now..When do the curtains go up and can we hold a vote on which posters to stick on the walls? Seriously now..well done to all- doing this sort of thing is time consuming and should receive due praise.

I look forward to seeing the contributions flowing..and using a more targeted approach to discussion participation.
