In 2010 a Platinum actkm award was presented to the KM Roundtable - Melbourne

This award recognised the effectiveness of the Knowledge Management Roundtable in facilitating and encouraging excellence in the implementation of Knowledge Management programs, not only in the area of Culture, Management and Leadership as well as Technology.

The Knowledge Management Roundtable (KMRt) is one of the Strategic Industry Research Foundations (SIRF) Roundtables. SIRF was orginally set up in 1988 as an innovation catalyst by the State Government of Victoria in conjunction with the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering and the Commonwealth Science and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). To address near term innovation needs SIRF set up a number of industry led, collaborative improvement networks in areas of industry considered important to Victoria’s and Australia’s future economic prosperity. The networks were called Roundtables and commenced in 1993. It was found that the Roundtable approach provided a powerful opportunity for members to explore important business issues to common problems. The extent and intensity of activities led to the development of a new organisation ‘SIRF Roundtables’ on the 1st of July 2000 to provide focused support for learning networks. The award was accepted by Michelle Lambert at the actkm 2010 dinner.
