ActKM June meeting - Innovation ACT & why the Nigerian bank scam succeeds
A busy session this evening with Vicki Lau, the Marketing Communications Administrator
from Innovation ANU telling us about the Innovation ACT activity this year and how you could get involved.
Why does the Nigerian banking scam continues to succeed? We take a brief foray into why this obvious scam is still raking in money and pulling the wool over people's eyes, and why an English economist advised terrorists in Britain how to avoid being detected by business analytics.
We will also get a briefing from David Williams following up on the formation of the Knowledge Management Global Network.
Tuesday, 17 June 2014 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM (AEST)
National Archives Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
A gold coin donation is welcome for nibbles.

KM IM CM RM: What’s in YOUR Toolkit?
ACTkm seminar, presented by Langtree IM
If you have ever built a house or managed a build project, you know the importance of planning and getting things right from the ground up. If the foundations aren’t solid, the whole thing can easily topple. And having the right trades at that right times so they work in together is pretty important too. Everyone working from the same plan and adding their specialist expertise using appropriate tools for the job means a better end result. It’s the same thing when it comes to managing information and records.
Using the Toolkit as the metaphor, this presentation looks at how we as KM IM CM and RM specialists can help our organisations best manage their corporate information and records. Event details: Tuesday 13 May 2014, 5.00pm-6.30pm, National Archives of Australia
